Baby on the way? We are here for you!

Geboortezorg Salland and the municipalities of Deventer, Olst/Wijhe and Raalte organise various information meetings for parents-to-be. By attending these meetings, you will begin this new phase of your life well-prepared.
Expert professionals, such as midwives, (youth) nurses, maternity nurses and lactation experts, will host the meetings.

Webinar: Everything you need to know about giving birth

You will learn all about the different phases of labour, how to cope with contractions, which positions are comfortable, what constitutes a medical indication, but above all: how you can best prepare for the birth of your baby! There will be plenty of room to ask your questions.

Webinar: Feeding options

Webinar: Breastfeeding Deep-dive

Webinar: Parenting & Consultatiebureau

After the maternity nurse leaves, the consultatiebureau (child healthcare centre), will take over, but what does it actually do? During this webinar we will discuss the tasks/role of the child healthcare centre along with what you can expect. We will also discuss parenthood: a new role. Do you have certain expectations, or not? Together we will explore this further and you will find out how you want to shape your own parenthood.

You will learn all about the different phases of childbirth, how to cope with contractions, which positions are comfortable and what a medical indication is. We will also explain which forms of painkillers are available and what the advantages and disadvantages of these are. But above all: how you can best prepare for the arrival of your baby!

Na de kraamzorg neemt het consultatiebureau de zorg voor jou en je kindje over. Tijdens deze After the maternity nurse leaves, the consultatiebureau (child healthcare centre), will take over, but what does it actually do? During this meeting we will discuss the tasks/role of the child healthcare centre along with what you can expect.

We will also discuss the different challenges you may encounter in young parenthood using a number of fun and relatable situations. You will also hear from other parents on how they approach this and what advice you have heard from others. Do you have certain expectations of parenthood, or are you going in blank? Are you feeling nervous? What are useful topics to talk about together? Together with the group and the youth nurse(s), you will explore these in-depth and discover along the way how you want to shape your own parenthood.
